The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) shone a spotlight on its most dedicated supporters during its first-ever Scotland and North Reward and Recognition evening, held on November 21st aboard the historic Tall Ship Glenlee in Glasgow. The event celebrated the remarkable individuals and groups in Scotland and the north whose efforts have significantly contributed to the charity’s mission of supporting the Royal Navy and Royal Marines community – for life.
The stunning Glenlee, a 19th-century sailing ship steeped in maritime heritage, provided a unique and fitting backdrop for the evening, which brought together over 100 guests. The event honoured fundraisers, volunteers, and community leaders who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to support sailors, marines, and their families.
Commodore Paul Dunn OBE RN Commander of the Submarine Service and his wife Jan Dunn were also in attendance to present awards and thank the winners for their extraordinary contributions.
Speaking about the event, Dawn Ingram, Director of Fundraising at RNRMC, said:
“The military community in Scotland is incredibly vibrant and supportive, and tonight’s event is a testament to that spirit. It has been wonderful to celebrate the individuals and groups who work to support our sailors, marines, and their families.
