Do you know an individual or team who you believe deserves to be recognised with a Herbert Lott Award? Or maybe someone who could be put forward for an Innovation and Invention Award?
Why not nominate them by contacting the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC)?
About the Awards.
On behalf of the Naval Service Prizes and Awards Fund (NSPAF), the RNRMC manages and distributes two categories of Herbert Lott Awards: Herbert Lott Efficiency Awards, Herbert Lott Innovation and Invention Awards.
Who is eligible?
1. Herbert Lott Efficiency Award.
This is given to an individual or team singled out for showing marked efficiency in their duties.
2. Herbert Lott Innovation and Invention Award.
This award is for innovation, useful research, suggestions or inventions which improve the efficiency of the Naval Service.
Lieutenant Colonel Michael Scanlon OBE presenting a Herbert Lott award to the Commando Training Wing team at Lympstone.
Michael explained to us that he nominated the team for showing the highest levels of resilience and fortitude. He said:
In a time when it could have been acceptable to just maintain the system, they continued to drive transformation and innovation into the training system in spite of the challenges. Considering the conditions, Commando Training Wing instructors and enablers have delivered outstanding levels of success, and it is for this prolonged collective effort that I believe the team are genuinely worthy of official recognition.
