On Sunday 27th April, 18 dedicated supporters laced up their walking boots and took on the challenge of the 2025 Glasgow Kiltwalk to raise vital funds for Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC).
Covering an incredible 26 miles, the team was made up of serving Royal Navy personnel, veterans, mums, partners, and children – a true reflection of the strength, unity, and spirit of the naval community. Their commitment showcases a message that resonates throughout the RNRMC’s work: When one person joins, the whole family serves.
The Glasgow Kiltwalk is one of Scotland’s biggest charity fundraising events, with thousands of walkers stepping out each year to support causes close to their hearts. Participants don their tartan, enjoy a powerful sense of camaraderie, and walk varying distances across the city, all while raising vital funds for charities across the country. The event creates a vibrant and emotional atmosphere, uniting people from all walks of life in a shared spirit of generosity and determination.
Money raised from events like the Kiltwalk is crucial in helping the RNRMC continue its mission to provide lifelong support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families. From mental health support and welfare grants to family days and crisis funding, every donation helps us make a tangible difference to those who serve and those who stand beside them.
Natalie Lewis, Scotland Engagement Officer for RNRMC, said:
"It was truly inspiring to see the naval community come together for this year’s Kiltwalk. Every step taken represents the commitment, resilience, and solidarity of our wider naval family. We are incredibly grateful to each and every participant for their passion and dedication to the cause. Their efforts help ensure that no member of our community faces life’s challenges alone."
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all 18 participants for their outstanding efforts and to everyone who supported them along the way. Your incredible spirit and generosity are what allow the RNRMC to continue providing essential support to our naval family, wherever and whenever it is needed most.
