The night skies at HMS Excellent, BRNC Dartmouth, and RNAS Culdrose erupted in lights and celebrations as people flocked in droves to witness the annual fireworks nights across different locations this year. Each base hosted its event on separate dates, allowing local communities and service members to come together for the festivities.
With funding from the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC), the celebrations kicked off at HMS Excellent on Friday, the 1st of November. Crowds gathered in high spirits on the base, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as the day’s packed proceedings began. Following suit, RNAS Culdrose held their fireworks night on the 5th of November, while BRNC Dartmouth lit up the sky on the 7th of November, providing stunning displays of unity and enjoyment at all three events.
Entertainment at HMS Excellent featured playful Spoof Paparazzi interacting with guests, the TS Tenacity Marching Band, sparkler areas, face painting, giant games, and a bustling fairground. At BRNC Dartmouth, various sweet treats were consumed before their fireworks display, while RNAS Culdrose included a naval-themed showcase to complement their evening of fun.
As night fell, the main attraction took centre stage at all three locations: the sky was illuminated with bursts of colour and light, creating stunning visual spectacles that left onlookers in awe, providing a fitting climax to the evening’s festivities at each event.
“It was heartwarming to see our service members and their families come together, celebrating in a spirit of unity and joy. Events like this not only provide a much-needed break from our daily responsibilities but also strengthen the bonds within our community.
