With the support of the Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity, the annual Carol Service for the ship’s company of HMS Eaglet took place - bringing together not only the personnel aboard but also their friends and family.
This event also included civic representatives, local officials, veterans' organisations, and other community groups.
"We brought the whole EAGLET Family together - serving Ship’s Company, the families of those mobilised worldwide on frontline operations, our thriving veteran communities and the next generation of Eaglets in the Sea Cadets. It was an honour to acknowledge publicly and celebrate the tremendous achievements of Eaglets over the last year - at sea, on land and in the air. Thank you to the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity for being so generous in supporting us."
Lt Cdr Mark Driscoll, Executive Officer at HMS EAGLET
The Carol Service was held at the historic Church of Our Lady and Saint Nicholas, Liverpool, a place with deep historical connections to the Royal Navy, which served as a moment to reflect on the past year.
Following the service, guests were welcomed back to HMS Eaglet for a festive reception.
"Privileged to host HM The King’s Representative, the Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside Dr Ruth Hussey CB, OBE, DL at last night’s HMS EAGLET Carol Service where we were joined by the outstanding musicians of The Band of The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment."
Lt Cdr Mark Driscoll, Executive Officer at HMS EAGLET
