This November and December, the Panto Bus hit the road again for another UK tour, supported by funding from the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC). The British Forces Foundation (BFF) presented two packed-out shows, Rapunzel and Jack and the Beanstalk, exclusively for Serving Personnel and their families.
RNAS Culdrose, HMS Drake, RMB Poole, CTCRM Lympstone and HMS Excellent are just some of the many bases touched by the joy of the Panto Bus – currently celebrating its 10th year. Entertaining more than a hundred thousand people since 2014 – young and not-so-young - have enjoyed these performances which have become a firm festive tradition for so many.
"The Panto Bus is a fantastic opportunity to bring our community together and provide some much-needed joy for our personnel and their families. With many of our service members separated from their loved ones during the holiday period, events like this remind us of the strength and support of our wider military family. A huge thanks to the RNRMC for funding special events such as these.”
Commander Simon Gale Royal Navy, HMS EXCELLENT.
Rapunzel at HMS Excellent was a roaring success - children and adults both captivated by the fun, fast-paced action, and the heartwarming conclusion that left everyone with big smiles. The sold-out performance was a reminder of why pantomimes are such a beloved part of holiday traditions - it's a perfect blend of spectacle, humour, and good old-fashioned storytelling.
The RNRMC has been a longstanding supporter of the Panto Bus, proudly helping to bring this much-loved entertainment to communities, which provides a much-needed escape, with joy and laughter, offering a sense of connection and holiday cheer to those who serve and their loved ones.
