The Admiralty Pub Hosts Trafalgar Night Dinner in Support of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity

Event

The Admiralty Pub, Fuller’s flagship establishment in Trafalgar Square, is set to host an immersive Trafalgar Night Dinner in support of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC). This historic evening will celebrate naval traditions and commemorate Britain’s most famous maritime victory, while raising crucial funds for serving personnel, veterans and their families. The event, proudly supported by Wood’s Rum, promises an unforgettable experience for guests.

Trafalgar Night marks the anniversary of Admiral Lord Nelson’s decisive victory at the Battle of Trafalgar on 21st October 1805. The occasion is celebrated annually within the Royal Navy to honour Nelson’s leadership and the valour of his men, while also keeping alive the rich naval traditions that are part of British history.

The Admiralty Pub will come alive with the spirit of Trafalgar through a five-course dinner, featuring the traditional Baron of Beef, paired with wine and rum. Guests will enjoy live performances of sea shanties, along with two toasts and other entertainment, with proceeds going to support the RNRMC.

Key features of the evening include:

  • A ceremonial entrance by the Beckenham & Penge Sea Cadets, bringing in a rum barrel to set the scene.
  • Dramatic readings of Admiral Lord Nelson’s dispatches sent during the battle.
  • Traditional sea shanty performances to evoke the atmosphere of the high seas.

Tickets include the five-course dinner, wine, live entertainment, and raffle. Both Fuller’s and the RNRMC hope to make this an annual event, offering a unique opportunity to celebrate British naval history while supporting today’s sailors, marines, and their families.

Andrew Jameson, CEO of the RNRMC, added: “We are very much looking forward to this first event and see our budding partnership with both Fullers and The Admiralty grow in the coming years.”

Helen Wilson, General Manager of The Admiralty, shared her excitement: “I can’t think of anything better to celebrate here, in the shadow of Nelson’s Column, under the gaze of the great man himself. The Battle of Trafalgar is a key moment in British history and I’m so excited to be launching our first Trafalgar Day event.”
