Kids is a leading charity for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Every young person should have an equal opportunity to play, learn, grow and thrive.
The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (AFCFT) and the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) have partnered with Kids to offer the opportunity for RN parents and carers in families or households where there is neurodiversity, to take back some time for themselves.
‘Nurturing Anchors’ is an online course facilitated by other parents and people with lived experience. It’s about meeting others and taking care of yourself so you can stay anchored in the ever-changing seas around neurodiversity.
“Before starting this course I felt very alone. I didn’t feel like I had anyone to turn to, and that I had no one who understood me. But this course has given me something I can relate to and something that uplifts me.” - participant from previous cohort.
