SA Group, a company known for its commitment to supporting military personnel and veterans, is embarking on a remarkable journey to raise funds and awareness for The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC).
A team of eight walkers and runners from SA Group will take part in the 3-day 130km Ultra Marathon race, the Atlantic Coast Challenge, from October 6th to October 8th, 2023. The event will cover some of England's most picturesque coastal paths, starting near Padstow, passing through Perranporth, and culminating at Land’s End. Employees from Walmer Group, providing government and private funding expertise, will also be taking part.
Since its inception in 2009, SA Group has consistently demonstrated its dedication to military personnel and veterans. The company has actively supported the Armed Forces Covenant and has been awarded Gold in the Employer Support Recognition Scheme for its unwavering commitment to veterans.
I served in the Royal Navy for 10 years. I’m very proud of my service, and so pleased to be able to give back. I feel that it’s the least I can do to support this important charity which has done so much to help those serving. With new technology it’s much easier to communicate with home, but when I served it was a lot more difficult. The RNRMC helped me enormously during that time. Just a simple thing like a phone card to keep me connected with loved ones made a world of difference.”
