Last week the RNRMC’s Through Life Grants Committee met for their penultimate quarterly meeting in 2021. The RNRMC Through Life Pathway tackles the unique set of pressures faced by those who serve and their families and preventing these from escalating by providing a safety net in the form of relationship support, mental health services, help in transitioning from the Service, and support which provides dignity and care in old age.
Bids are presented to the Committee from a variety of military and civilian partner organisations and are scored against factors such as need and sustainability to determine if they are to be awarded funding. In the latest meeting the Committee agreed funding for five organisations as part of the Through Life Pathway, granting £125,000. A further £257,799 was also allocated to continue supporting 6 projects that are part of RNRMC commissioned programmed. This latest round of funding will support the Royal Navy community across a variety of initiatives including medical care and mental health support services for serving personnel and veterans.
