The 18th Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch took place on Thursday 10 April 2025 at the Guildhall in London, a vibrant and memorable event hosted by the Lord Mayor, Alderman Alastair King, and Lady Mayoress, Florence King, who met veterans and beneficiaries from all three services including those who have been supported through programmes funded by the Big Curry Lunch.
We were especially delighted to welcome Major John Whiteman, a beneficiary of Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity, as our special guest. His continued dedication and support to RNRMC has made a significant impact, and we are deeply grateful for his participation.

Since its inception, the Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch has raised an impressive £3.7 million, which has been distributed to support His Majesty’s Armed Forces and veterans through three National Armed Forces Benevolence Charities: Army Benevolent Fund, Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity, and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
Andrew Jameson, CEO of RNRMC said:
Our sincere thanks go to The Lord Mayor of London for hosting this exceptional event, which continues to be a pivotal occasion in supporting our servicemen and women. We also extend our gratitude to the Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch Committee, whose tireless efforts ensure the smooth execution of this event year after year. Additionally, we are thankful to all the military and civilian volunteers, guests and generous supporters whose contributions make this occasion truly unforgettable.
This event plays a crucial role in raising vital funds for those who have served, and it is because of all these incredible individuals and organisations that we can continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our Armed Forces community.
