The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity recently funded a Christmas party for the children of the Commando Logistics Regiment RM Children at RMB Chivenor.
The Children's Christmas Party was a great opportunity for the Chivenor Community to get together, enjoying a Children’s entertainer, face painter and disco. The party, complete with Santa's Grotto, took place in the Chaplaincy Building and was an opportunity for RMB Chivenor families to meet each other, develop a network of support for each other especially for those who will be deploying over festive period.
The party ran from 2pm until 4pm, and when the clock struck 2, the families came pouring in to music being played by Starlight Entertainers. The children eagerly started queuing to get their faces painte before the entertainer had tthem enthralled with songs and dance routines.
Santa made his entrance at 3.15pm to the joy and excitement of the children who couldn’t wait to go and see him in his grotto to see if they had made the 'Nice List' year, which we are happy to say they had! Once Santa had passed our all his presents and returned to the North Pole there disco began.
All those in attendance had a wonderful time and are grateful to the supporters of the RNRMC who helped make this Children's Christmas Party possible. It's safe to say everyone is now in the festive spirit!
