First Sea Lord Admiral Sir Philip Jones KCB ADC DL and Head of Corporate Partnerships at The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC), Dawn Ingram, were delighted to accept a cheque of £35,000 at the MBDA UK Sea Ceptor celebration event this May.
Over 500 customers and suppliers, at the annual MBDA Charity Dinner held in November, helped to contribute to a record-breaking grand total of £210,000 with over half of the proceeds being donated to military charities. This significant £35,000 donation represented the contribution made to the RNRMC, the principal charity of the Royal Navy.
Dawn Ingram explains “Our partnership with MBDA continues to grow from strength to strength. This donation and our recent announcement of MBDA as a Platinum charity partner at our 2018 City Reception have been real highlights for the charity in recent months. As the Royal Navy’s principal charity we are clear that ‘one person joins but the whole family serves’, and the commitment of businesses, like MBDA, becoming partners and showing their support allows us to work with expert delivery partners to achieve our vision of a world in which our sailors, marines and their families are valued and supported for life.”
A special thanks goes to Chris Allam, Executive Group Director Engineering & Managing Director UK, and the wider MBDA team for their efforts and continued support of the Armed Forces community.
