Alice Farrow joined the team in November 2023 as Director of Marketing and Communications
A former Naval Reservist, Alice comes from a Naval family; her father is a Falklands veteran and her Grandfather was a D-Day and Battle of the Atlantic Veteran during WW2. Members of her mother’s family served in the Army during WW2 and WW1.
Alice grew up in Hampshire with fond memories of being told off for attempting to slide down the bannisters at the age of three at the Officers’ Mess, HMS Mercury. She has spent the last 17 years working at both Agencies and in-house in Communications roles for Military Charities. Notably being involved in the PR around the launch of the Forces in Mind Trust in 2012 up until the time she joined Cobseo as their Head of Comms in 2015. Alice moved to SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity as Head of PR and Public Affairs in 2018.
More recently Alice was part of the media team for the Submariner Memorial appeal and unveiling in 2022 (having also managed the media for the Naval Service Memorial unveiling in 2014). In 2023 Alice has also been part of the media team for Fighting With Pride, facilitating numerous interviews with national and regional outlets during the launch of the Etherton report and then the official apology for the treatment of LTBT+ veterans before the ‘gay’ ban was lifted.
Alice joined the Royal Naval Association in March 2023, leading their comms and her team at RNRMC will continue this remit.
Alice is a classically trained soprano and has been a soloist at St John’s Smith Square, Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s Cathedral. She has sung for various members of the Royal Family. Nowadays she can be heard singing at the Petersfield Festival and with the choir she manages in Hambledon.
Alice is a Clore Social Leadership Fellow and has an Irish Setter called Gabby.
