The Defence Medical Welfare Service offers professional, compassionate support to members of the Armed Forces, veterans, and their families during times of medical need. Whether in hospital or at home, DMWS’s welfare officers provide practical help and emotional support, ensuring no one faces health challenges alone. 

Relate is the UK's largest provider of relationship support. Through our funding, they provide free face-to-face, online and telephone counselling to serving and former personnel and their families. This includes help with relationships, help with family life and parenting, help with separation, and divorce and help for children, young people, and young adults. It also includes bereavement and loss support, should the worst happen.

The Royal Naval Association provides companionship, comradeship and unity to everyone with a naval story, supporting them through life’s highs and lows.

Southampton Family Trust provide information, parenting courses, couple work and one-to-one support for the various life stages, difficulties and joys that family life brings.

SSAFA provides lifelong support to the UK’s Armed Forces and their families. Whether it’s financial assistance, housing advice, or emotional support, SSAFA’s dedicated team ensures help is available when and where it’s needed. Their understanding of military life allows them to provide compassionate, effective solutions for naval families.
