Serving in the Royal Navy or Royal Marines represents an enduring commitment to protecting our island nation. The Royal Navy spends more time on deployments than the other Armed Forces with up to 660 days in 36 months spent away at sea*. This commitment is not without sacrifice.
The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity exists to provide support for sailors, marines and their families, from the day they join and for the rest of their lives.
In 2017, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity distributed £9.7m to support our beneficiaries. Through grants to ships and units who are deployed, post-service transition, family support and care in old age, the RNRMC is helping create a world in which our serving men and women’s sacrifice is recognised, ensuring they are supported, no matter what.
